Terms and Conditions

Welcome to PrepMate. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the PrepMate mobile application, website, and related services. By using PrepMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About PrepMate
PrepMate is an AI-powered interview preparation platform that helps users practice interviews, upload resumes, receive interview questions, view scorecards, and get AI-generated feedback.
PrepMate is operated independently by an individual developer.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use PrepMate. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.
You agree not to create fake accounts, misuse the service, or attempt to access another user's account.
4. Use of the Service
You agree to use PrepMate only for lawful and personal interview preparation purposes. You must not:
- Misuse, copy, reverse engineer, or attempt to hack the app.
- Upload harmful, illegal, abusive, or misleading content.
- Share paid access, interview credits, or account access with others.
- Use bots, scraping tools, or automated systems to access PrepMate.
- Attempt to bypass payment, security, or usage restrictions.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
PrepMate uses artificial intelligence to generate interview questions, resume insights, scores, feedback, and recommendations.
AI-generated results are provided for educational and preparation purposes only. They may not always be complete, accurate, or suitable for every job role. PrepMate does not guarantee job selection, interview success, employment, salary increase, or career outcome.
6. Resume Uploads and User Content
You may upload resumes or provide responses while using PrepMate. You retain ownership of the content you upload.
By uploading content, you grant PrepMate permission to process that content to provide app features such as resume analysis, interview generation, scoring, and feedback.
You are responsible for ensuring that any content you upload is accurate and does not violate third-party rights.
7. Payments and Interview Credits
PrepMate may offer paid interview credits, packages, or premium features. Currently, payments may be processed manually through UPI. In the future, secure payment gateways may be added.
Access to paid features may be granted only after payment verification. PrepMate reserves the right to reject invalid, duplicate, fraudulent, or unclear payment proofs.
8. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In general, used interview credits or completed AI interview services are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
9. Account Deletion
You may delete your account from within the app. After deletion, your personal information and associated user data will be deleted or anonymized, unless retention is required for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
10. Intellectual Property
PrepMate, including its name, logo, design, software, app screens, features, workflows, interview generation logic, and content created by PrepMate, belongs to PrepMate or its owner.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of PrepMate without written permission.
11. Third-Party Services
PrepMate may use third-party services such as Supabase, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, OpenAI API, email delivery services, and payment providers. Your use of PrepMate may also be subject to the privacy policies and terms of those third-party services.
12. Service Availability
We aim to keep PrepMate available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may be updated, modified, paused, or removed at any time.
13. Limitation of Liability
PrepMate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrepMate is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of opportunity, loss of employment, or loss of profits.
14. Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, submit fraudulent payments, abuse the system, or engage in activity that may harm PrepMate or other users.
15. Privacy
Your use of PrepMate is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the Effective Date and publish the revised Terms. Continued use of PrepMate means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the applicable courts in India, unless otherwise required by law.
